Married to the original Marty Eich, Cindy is mom to Marty, Jason, and Ryan, mother-in-law to Kate and Jessica, grandma to Marty, Sam, and Jolene, and a grieving mom to Kendall. Cindy and Marty have made their home in Palatine, Illinois and neighboring Inverness, Illinois since 1986 (well, except for that short stint in Cincinnati, Ohio.) Her family is the singular thing of which Cindy is most proud.
Cindy's debut memoir, Love Goes Further, chronicles the inspiring life and enduring legacy of her daughter, Kendall, who faced glioblastoma with courage, kindness, and an unbridled pursuit of life. Rooted in love and resilience, it highlights Kendall’s ability to transform adversity into adventure as she forged a path forward, not toward a finish line that cancer defined, but to one that she determined. Kendall’s diagnosis didn’t diminish her love of life. It magnified it.
Love Goes Further invites readers into Kendall’s world—where time itself is a precious gift and where the tangled threads of cancer and grief are woven with powerful cords of connection and love. Cindy offers readers a window into the strength of family and the power of community. She honestly explores the uneasy alliance of faith and fear, conveying both hope and heartache with graceful simplicity.
Partners in business and life, Cindy and Marty are successful real estate brokers in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. They honor Kendall’s legacy through the Kendall Nicole Eich Foundation, raising support for brain cancer patients and their families. Learn how you can help at lovegoesfurther.org.
